The practice was appointed by a private landowner to prepare an illustrative masterplan in support of an outline planning application for the development of some 140 new homes on open grazing land within the setting of Widham Farm and Widham Grange, both grade II listed buildings. This highly sensitive site sits outside the development boundary but was promoted as a strategic housing site by the landowner. Whilst the application was refused under strategic housing policy, the practice had successfully negotiated all matters of layout, design and conservation impact.
