This site, on the edge of Bath, has a magnificent outlook over adjoining Duchy of Cornwall land. The gradient of the site was one of a number of challenges facing the practice when we who were appointed by Knightstone Housing Association. The proposal follows the 'crescent' building pattern of Bath creating a unique hillside development of 102 affordable and shared ownership units with a mixture of 2, 2.5 and 3 storey terraced houses, many of which incorporate split level accommodation.
This development regenerates an industrial site blurring the edges of the adjacent former council housing to bring back character to this side of Bath.
