We were appointed by Taylor Wimpey to prepare a masterplan for 265 dwellings and 45,000 sqft of B1 use on surplus land at the Cadbury site in Keynsham. Providing a mix of 1 & 2 bed flats and 2 to 5 bed houses, the layout was based on standard house types modified to suit orientation, achieve a minimum EcoHomes 'Very Good' rating and a density of 44 dph whilst also allowing for SUDS, retention of mature trees and enhanced habitat for wildlife.The scheme allowed Cadbury to continue operations whilst providing a significantly improved highway access arrangement. The contract was abandoned when Cadbury pulled out of the sale following their announcement to close the factory.
