Swindon Central Library

Folloiwng a competive selection process we were appointed as part of a full design team by Swindon Borough Council to develop designs to RIBA Stage C for a new £10m central library incorporating flexible community space on a site adjacent to the listed Town Hall following our earlier work at Calne.

Concept proposals were developed for a BREEAM 'Excellent' rated scheme designed to act as a landmark building in this important town centre location. Consultations were undertaken with English Heritage who were supportive of the contemporary design approach expressed in brick and glass that respected the setting of the Town Hall.
