The practice was appointed to deal with the grant application, prepare feasibility studies and finally to design and procure the building work to create offices, storage and rehearsal space within the two storey building which was formerly the reading room to a nearby church.
Outside the building faced in stone are Bath’s first caryatids – the "Pothead" man and corbels depicting characters from the theatre company’s ensemble: Conehead, Georgian fop and Nanny. These were designed by the architects and carved by local students on the masonry and carving course at Bath City College.
