Bath has a number of educated groups who are interested in the preservation and conservation of the City. The most influential of these is the Bath Preservation Trust.
The Trust purchased the redundant chapel, a delightful gothic house in the style of a little castle with battlements which hides a more prosaic stone-built barn behind the private chapel of Selina, Countess of Huntingdon. It had undergone many changes.
The restoration was awarded a commendation by the Civic Trust in 1988.
