Originally appointed in 1989, the recession of the early 90's put paid to plans to regenerate Calne Town Centre in a single phase so the Council took on the role of developer with several different partners. The architects remained a constant factor through the development of the town. After the completion of Phase 1 (Bank Side) the practice was commissioned to design the final phase to include a new library, retail units and flats. A major part of the project involved the diversion of the River in its path through the town centre, together with new town gardens. 2003 British Urban Regeneration Award for Best Practice - RIBA Town & Country Award 2002 - Commended.
