The site for this building is on the very edge of the City, on a strip of land, between an office building with a brutal aesthetic of concrete cladding panels and the anti-architecture of the drive-in diner of the Little Chef. An opportunity which appeared to offer little possibility for development, other than for a motor car dealership or an industrial building. Structuring a design for a three-storey office building into a piece of left over land was an engineering feat as well as an organisational problem in space planning and architecture.
