Westgate St, Bath

When the practice recieved the first site surveys and the building block was opened up for careful examination, a hidden structure was revealed, the existence of which had been concealed by successive layers of roofing, extended walls and floors.  Evidently the brewing of beer had once been the occupation of the site and the old brewhouse building still existed underneath all these changes.

The conversion of the building block had proceeded with the Brewhouse as the centrepiece of a block of flats over shopping at ground floor.
